Terms of Service for PixPass Wallet

Last Updated: 7-1-2025

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the PixPass Wallet web application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Service.

2. Description of the Service

PixPass Wallet provides a utility to encrypt user-provided data and embed it into a PNG image file using steganography. The Service also allows for the extraction of this data from a previously generated image. All processing occurs in-memory on our servers and is designed to be zero-persistence, meaning we do not store your data. For more information on our data handling practices, please see our Privacy Policy.

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the following:

  • Password Security: If you choose to use a password to encrypt your data, you are solely responsible for remembering and securing it. We have no knowledge of your password and no ability to recover it. If you lose your password, your encrypted data will be permanently inaccessible.
  • Data Content: You agree not to use the Service to embed or transmit any data that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Data Backup: You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of the data you embed and the generated image files. We are not liable for any loss of data or corrupted files.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all software, text, graphics, and the "PixPass" and "PixPass Wallet" names) are and will remain the exclusive property of pixpass.site and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

While we use strong, industry-standard encryption (AES-256-GCM), we do not guarantee that the Service will be 100% secure or free from vulnerabilities. The security of your embedded data is critically dependent on the strength of the password you choose and your own security practices.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall pixpass.site, nor its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any and all information processed therein; (iii) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service; (iv) any bugs, viruses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our Service by any third party. Our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page.
